I would like to let you know some of the procedures we have put in place to keep yourself, family and our staff as safe as possible and minimise the risk of spreading COVID19 at the Exeter Court Hotel.
We politely request that if you are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 that you call us to postpone your stay, which will be offered free of charge. We recommend that you follow the guidance offered on the Public Health England website for a upto date list of symptoms. Please note we have a wall thermometer in reception, we politely ask you to use this on your way into reception. It has now become mandatory for everyone to wear face coverings when entering the hotel. This can of course be removed once you are seated in the bar or restaurant.
We have added Perspex screens to our reception desk and bar area, so we can all keep our distance.
Hand sanitising stations are provided in reception and at several points throughout the hotel for your use. We politely ask you use these when entering the hotel.
Our check-in process has changed slightly to allow for a fast and reduced-contact experience. Please also note that we will only be accepting debit and credit cards for the foreseeable future, to avoid the handling of cash. Our check-in time remains the same, from 2pm.
We are now offering an online check in. This means we will send you an email with our registration form attached. Please complete this and email it back to us. Our reception is currently working from 8am until 10pm. Please can you call the hotel before arrival if you think you will be arriving after this time. The hotel has been reconfigured where necessary and marked out to ensure social distancing of a minimum of 1 metre plus, we will of course amend this if the government changes this guideline.
All of our surfaces and touch points will be regularly cleaned and sanitised throughout the day.
To avoid overcrowding in our washrooms, we ask that guests who are staying with us use the bathrooms in their bedrooms. Our washrooms are equipped with contact free hand dryers.
Every guest bedroom and en-suite will be fully cleaned and sanitised before each stay. Bed linen are professionally washed and our towels and bath mats are washed on a high heat. We have removed the folder in the bedroom for now and have replaced it with laminated material which will be sanitised before and after your stay. If you require extra pillows or blankets, please ask reception who will be happy to help with your request. Our housekeeping staff have been trained and will wear appropriate PPE whilst carrying out there cleaning duties. If you do not wish to have your bedroom cleaned please put out the Do Not Disturb sign on your door.
Breakfast is served Monday - Friday 7.00am until 9.30am. Weekends & Bank holidays 8am until 10.30am. Dinner in the Mocca Restaurant is served each day from 5pm and last orders taken at 9.00pm. We can now only offer table service in our bar & restaurant, please be patient with us during busy periods. Please note inline with the Governments latest ruling the Bar & Restaurant will be closed at 10pm. We have implemented a one-way system in the restaurant, and ask you to follow the signs. We have extended our bar area to include one of our event rooms which allows us more space this will ensure all guests can follow the current minimum of 1 metre plus social distancing. We are also able to offer flexible table configurations dependent on your household size (maximum of 6 per table). We have fitted our bar with Perspex screens to protect our customers and staff. All of our bar, restaurant staff will wear the appropriate PPE when serving our guests.
We will automatically take payment for your stay from the credit/debit card you have used to make your reservation upon check in. We will email a vat receipt to you upon checkout. Please ensure that you have completed your email address on your registration form. Please leave your key card in your bedroom when you depart.
All of our staff have undergone further health & safety training to prevent the spread of COVID19. Staff will be temperature checked when they arrive for work. There are hand wash basins and hand sanitiser stations available in all departments. All staff will wear the appropriate PPE when carrying out their duties.

We would like to reassure our guests in light of the coronavirus. We are able to amend our cancellation policy with the ability to cancel bedrooms 24 hours/the day before for free. Alternately, we will put your deposits on hold for 12 months so you can take the time to decide on a new date. This will be for any wedding, event or conference.
