The company we use to collect our waste has a zero to landfill policy. They provide a complete range of Zero to Landfill commercial waste service including dry mixed recycling (DMR), WEEE, cardboard, plastic, food waste and general waste.
We are in the midst of changing over all of our lighting to LED lighting.
We have changed all of our bedroom toiletries to refillable bottles. All of the cleaning products we use in the hotel are in refillable bottles to reduce the need to purchase individual plastic bottles. We use Eco Knit Towels and Bathmats in our bathrooms. They have a more luxurious pile and have better absorption properties than woven towels. The towels require up to 15% less water to wash and dry up to 40% faster. The life span is 2-3 times longer than a standard towel.
We no longer use plastic straws and instead use biodegradable paper straws. These paper straws take only 3 months to biodegrade & do not contain any bleach.
We purchase all of our fish, eggs, and vegetables from local suppliers and we try to purchase the majority of our meat locally to reduce unnecessary food miles and our carbon footprint.
We have installed 4 EV Pro electric vehicle charging points (charges apply). We are unable to reserve parking spaces and is operated on a first come, first served basis.
